The Big Cover-Up

This project was inspired by the OCCUPY movement that gained momentum in response to homelessness across the country. I created blankets to give to the homeless, by first allowing members of the public to bleach photographs of political figures, and then had blankets made from those images. I signed and numbered 15 blankets, and distributed five in three cities, Las Vegas, L.A. and Buffalo , New York.  There is a short video from this project in the "performance" folder of this web site. Ponchos from this project are for sale on my ETSY page. This project was supported through a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, and The Puffin Foundation.
